Bei unseren Spruchherzen handelt es sich um sogenannte 'Braune Lebkuchen'. Diese sind auf Grund ihrer Rezeptur-Zusammensetzung sehr "hygroskopisch". Dies bedeutet, dass sie - je nach Lagervor- aussetzung - bei kalter and/oder trockener Luft relativ schnell Feuchtigkeit abgeben and hierdurch fest werden koennen. Bei richtiger Lagerung (65-70% relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit, 18-22 degrees Celsius, werden sie nach kurzer Zeit wieder weich.

Our "Santa on a String" (item # HM-15301) and the Christmas Heart (item # HM-15511) are known as 'Brown Gingerbreads". These gingerbreads are, on account of their recipe, very "hygroscopic". This means that these products will lose their moisture and will harden if stored in a cold and/or dry environment. They will regain their softness and moisture in a relatively short time if stored correctly at at 18-22 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 65-70%.
